Several weeks ago I submitted a few of my favorite pictures to the Memorable Travels photo challenge. My images included photos from our honeymoon in Maui and last year’s trip to Jackson Hole, WY with some great friends.
I’m more of a wedding and portrait photographer than a landscape photographer, so I really didn’t expect to see much resulted from my submission. I mainly wanted to see how I would rank against all the thousands of images that were submitted.
My morning routine is getting a cup of coffee and taking a quick glance through emails to see if there is anything urgent that I need to address first thing in the morning.
One of the titles of an email is “You’ve been showcased on DigitalCameraWorld”. I had to open the email and take a quick look. The body of the email states that one of my photos has been featured on DigitalCameraWorld.com.
Unfortunately, they didn’t tell me which image was being showcased so I had to scroll through to see which image made the cut. I happened to come across one of my favorite images that I took in Jackson Hole.
