Family Portrait – Pamela S.

Pam reached out to me a few days ago wanting to get a family portrait of her and her grandchildren. With the girls being in cheer they have a busy schedule so I had to work with their availability.

Pam wanted an outdoor session, which I usually suggest with family portraits. Working with their timeline we scheduled the shoot at a local park for Thursday at 2:30. Unfortunately, the lighting would not be ideal but I can always get great photos under the trees which give off some nice shade.

I showed up 15 minutes early and found out that the park is closed so I had to scramble to find another location nearby. I was able to find a park area overlooking a pond that had a gazebo that I could use for shade. I gave Pam the new address and we were good to go.

Family Portrait

It was almost 100 degrees outside so I wanted to keep the family in the shade as much as I possibly could. I started out taking individual pictures of the grandchildren and Pam. After individual photos, we moved on to a few group photos.

Due to the bright sun, the background was blown out, but the family’s pictures still came out great. I was able to keep the entire session to less than 45 minutes.
