What to expect during an engagement session?
As your engagement photographer, I expect that this is probably your first engagement photo session. I will let you know how to prepare and what to expect during your photo session. I want to make your photo session easy and fun for you.
Every photographer does things a little differently but the basic concept is usually the same. When you first select a potential photographer, expect a follow-up with a phone call or in-person meeting. This gives you an opportunity to discuss the details of your engagement session and ask any questions. Your photographer should try to get to know you on a personal level and tailor a custom session specifically for you.

What to wear for engagement photos?
What you wear depends on the type of photos you are looking for. You will have the opportunity to change clothes during your engagement session.
I usually recommend wearing something casual and comfortable to capture some fun and playful photos, then change clothes for a more formal look.
You want to make sure your photos turn out great. I can recommend a hair and makeup artist prior to your session.
How much does an engagement session cost?
Engagement photo sessions can range from $150 to $600 depending on the going rate for your area and the photographer.
Most photographers will provide discounts when you purchase your engagement photos as a bundle with a wedding photo package. Some bundles may include engagement, bridal session, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and the day of the wedding. Ask your photographer to customize a wedding package for you.
Don’t be afraid to ask your photographer to allow you to make payments. I am happy to allow you to make monthly payments. Sessions must be paid in full prior to releasing the images.
